
Amaltas University observed Anti-Ragging Day on August 12, marking the beginning of Anti-Ragging Week, which will continue until August 18.To ensure discipline and prevent ragging within the university and college campuses, students organized a rally and displayed anti-ragging posters in the hostels. The primary aim of this rally was to raise awareness against ragging and ensure a safe environment for new students.Ragging is a serious issue that can impact students’ mental health and academic performance. The rally started at 10:00 AM from the university’s main gate, with active participation from students, faculty members, and administrative officers. Participants raised slogans such as “Ragging-Free Campus” and “Safe Education”, spreading strong messages against ragging.All attendees appreciated the efforts of the Anti-Ragging Committee and pledged to take all possible steps to eliminate ragging. Vice-Chancellor Dr. SharadchandraWankhede encouraged students to stand united against ragging and report any such incidents promptly.RegistrarMr. Sanjay Rambole emphasized that this rally was a significant step towards creating a safe and positive campus environment. The university administration assured strict policies and serious action against any form of ragging.ChairmanMr. Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoriya appreciated the DSW Department for organizing the rally and stated that when students and teachers unite, positive change becomes possible.The rally witnessed the presence of Hospital Director Dr. Prashant, Dr. Kulkarni, all college principals, faculty members, students, and staff.
