Introduction
- This code of conduct is applicable to all the students of Amaltas University Dewas (Henceforth termed as "AUD") who have taken admission or provisional admission in any Diploma, Graduate,Postgraduate or Doctoral Program offered by AUD. All students are responsible for sustaining the highest ethical standards of this University, and of the broader community in which the university functions. The university values integrity, honesty and fairness and strives to integrate these values into its teaching/learning and research activities.
Purpose
- In that spirit, this Code (the "Code") is a shared statement of the university's commitment to uphold the ethical, professional and legal standards it uses as the basis for its daily and long-term decisions and students must be cognizant of and comply with the relevant policies, standards, laws and regulations that guide their work. The students are each individually accountable for their own actions and, as students of the university, are collectively accountable for upholding these standards of behaviour and for compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
Notices and Communication
- Important notices shall be circulated on Departmental notice boards and Website of the University. Important events in the university, Time Table, the schedule of University Examinations, Practical examinations, Viva-voce, Projects are notified on the university website. No personal communication shall be made to the students regarding these activities and students must read the Notices regularly.
- To create and promote peace, harmony and mutual understanding amongst the future citizens for a better world. We want our students to be great moral and ethical human beings. With this purpose, we have provided for this following “Code of Conduct” for Amaltas University students.

- Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner of behavior inside as well as outside the University campus. They should abide by rules and regulations of the University to maintain the esteem of Amaltas University.
- All the students are expected to be present in the classes and clinics on time.
- Students should respect teaching faculty and behave courteously towards teaching faculty at all times. Discipline shall be observed during class hours.
- Teacher should be greeted appropriately. No student shall enter or leave the class room when the session is on without the permission of the teacher concerned.
- Students attending clinical sessions should report to the clinics in time and they are expected not to leave the clinics during the scheduled time.
- In the events of student seminar, project presentations, etc., it is compulsory that all the students of the concerned class be present for the entire session.
- Students can leave the campus during class hours only after getting a gate pass from the concerned authority and after making entry in the Gate register maintained by the gate keeper.
- All students should leave the classes only after the completion of the class.
- Students should come to the University in approved uniforms. If there’s no uniform prescribed, students are directed to come in decent formal dresses.
- All the students are expected to attend all University functions with the maintenance of a proper discipline.
- All the students should wear their identity cards, well displayed.
- Students are expected to maintain silence in and around the academic areas to maintain the decorum.
- Students are encouraged to make use of the library, common computer facilities and to involve in professional body activities or any program authorized by the University beyond class hours. However, under normal circumstances, the students shall retreat to their hostels or residences by the prescribed time.
- Students should keep the campus neat and clean. Students should not put any waste anywhere in the campus except in the waste baskets.
- Mobile phones should remain in silent mode in the University premises. Telephonic calls are not to be entertained during classes and academic training sessions.
- All students are provided examination hall tickets before the university examination. Students will not be allowed to appear for examinations in absence of hall ticket. Any students found cheating, copying, misbehaving with invigilators or examination conductors, using threatening or abusive language, disturbing the decorum of the examination centre, will be subjected to strict legal and penal action by the University authorities.
- During examinations, students are not allowed to leave the examination hall within the specified time period for that examination from the beginning of the exam and no student will be given entry into the examination hall after the lapse of the permitted time period specified for the entry of scheduled time of commencement of examination.
- During examinations, students are not allowed to bring mobile phone etc in the examination hall.
- Students are to refrain from activities such as scribbling or noting on walls, doors or furniture which could deface the University / Institution and destroy the academic ambiance.
- Consumption of intoxicants / psychotropic substances in any form or smoking or using panmasala, etc. are strictly prohibited.
- Students are not permitted to arrange any unauthorized celebrations and decorations of any magnitude in the campus. Students are not permitted to distribute or display (both physically and electronically) material(s) such as notices, banners, etc. in the campus without the permission of the competent authority.
- Students should carefully handle the furniture, equipments, fixtures and appliance of the University / Institution including class rooms, clinics, demonstration rooms, laboratories, hostels, canteen, etc. Careless handling/misuse of any fixtures, equipments, materials, etc. belonging to the University / Institution that may result in injury to person or damage to property should be avoided. Students should follow safety precautions in vicinity of machinery / equipments / materials and electrical installations.
- Students who intend to represent the University / Institution in Intercollegiate / Inter-University events shall take prior permission from the concerned competent authority and the selection will be based on parameters such as excellence in the particular field, academic performance, attendance, character, existing academic pressure and competence of the student in the proposed event for participation.
- Students are expected to make use of academic, co-curricular and extracurricular facilities available to the optimum levels.
- Political activity in any form is not permitted in the University campus. Unauthorized meeting, propaganda, work processions or fund collection, etc. are forbidden within the University campus as a whole including Institutions, hostels, etc.
- Harassing and ill treatment to any fellow human beings including ragging is forbidden. As per the directives of Honorable Supreme Court and UGC regulations, every student should fill an anti-ragging undertaking. This is to be filled online at www.antiragging.in or www.amanmovement.org. - Timely payment of fees, mess bills, etc. are essential.
- Furnishing false certificates or false information in any manner to the University is not permitted.
- Creating disharmony among students is not allowed.
- Using insulting, inciting, threatening language when talking with fellow students inside or outside the campus. Students talking or behaving in any manner inside or outside the University in a way that would bring disrepute to the University is strictly prohibited.
- It will be unacceptable to use abusive, defamatory or derogatory language against any staff member of the University.
- Indulging in acts of gambling, possessing or consuming or distributing alcohol, harmful drugs, illegal narcotics, hukka, Gutkha and smoking cigarettes/e-cigarettes in the Institute/Department/College, hostel & University premises is not acceptable.
- Harming the reputation of the University or individual (fellow students and University staff) through social and electronic media is prohibited.
- Improper behaviour while on official tour or in official Programme is not allowed.
- Any other offence under the law of land will be strictly dealt with.
Hostel Rules
- Girl students are not allowed to leave the Hostel premises after 9.00 pm. If any Girl student wants to leave the Hostel after 8.00 for some valid reasons, she has to seek prior permission from the Hostel Warden. Students shall abide by the rules and regulations of their respective hostels and should avoid any kind of misconduct inside hostel, in hostel premises and mess. Students shall not cause any damage to the property of the hostel and shall obey the orders and instructions of their respective warden.
- Girl students are not allowed to enter the Hostel after 9.00 pm unless she gets permission from Dean/Hostel Warden in written.
