Introduction
- This code of conduct is applicable to all the support/ administration staff of Amaltas University, Dewas who are employed at AUD and not assigned any teaching work (Henceforth called as "support staff"). All support staff are responsible for sustaining the highest ethical standards of this University, and of the broader community in which it functions. The university values integrity, honesty and fairness and strives to integrate these values into all administration and supporting activities.
Purpose
- In that spirit, this Code is a shared statement of the University's commitment to upholding the ethical, professional and legal standards it uses as the basis for its daily and long-term decisions and actions. All staff members must be cognizant of and comply with the relevant policies, standards, laws and regulations that guide their work. The staff members are each individually accountable for their own actions and, as members of the university, are collectively accountable for upholding these standards of behaviour and for compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
Violations
- Adherence to this Code also makes the staff members responsible for bringing suspected violations of applicable standards, policies, laws or regulations to the attention of the appropriate cognizant office. Confirmed violations will result in appropriate disciplinary action up to and including termination from employment or other relationships with the University.
Standards of Integrity and Quality
- Support staff must earn and maintain a reputation for integrity that includes, but is not limited to, compliance with laws and regulations and its contractual obligations. Even the appearance of misconduct or impropriety can be very damaging to the Institution. Support staff must strive at all times to maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity. In addition, each individual is required to conduct activities and transactions with the utmost honesty, accuracy and fairness. Each situation needs to be examined in accordance with this standard. No unethical practice can be tolerated in any case.
Confidentiality and Privacy
- Supporting Staff of Amaltas University, Dewas are expected to maintain strict privacy and confidentiality about the data related to information of students, other staff members, teachers, members of the management/authorities and administrators. No internal matters, monetary details and other important and sensitive information should be shared with any external person or firm without the permission of the authority.

- Staff must maintain high standards of punctuality, honesty and professional ethics.
- They should work within the institutional policies and practices so as to achieve the vision admission of the Institution / University.
- Staff should ensure that they are dressed decently and appropriately for the tasks they undertake.
- Staff should cooperate and collaborate with colleagues and external agencies necessary to support the development of the institutions and students.
- Staff should act in a professional and congenial manner towards colleagues, irrespective of their relative position, gender or status within the official hierarchy.
- Staff should maintain harmonious relations with other staff and students.
- Staff should maintain confidentiality in conduct of examinations and any other information.
- Information should be revealed maintaining professional ethics and protocol only.
- Staff should follow the instructions and directions of the official authority.
- Staff should constructively contribute towards the development and progress of the Institutions and University.
- Staff should strictly adhere to the academic requirements of the University / Institution(s) and maintain the sanctity of academic and working environment.
- Staff should extend their services for the welfare of the community and society at large.
- Staff should properly maintain the records of respective portfolio.
- Staff should make an effort for continuous development through training programmes, workshops, research and development activities.
Administrative Policies
- Supporting staff should report on their duties on time and should be regular on their duties. They shall carry out their duties as per the instructions given by their reporting officers and shall abide by all the rules and regulations prescribed under relevant laws to carry out their duties.
Use of University Resources
- University resources must be reserved for official purposes on behalf of the University. They may not be used for personal gain, and may not be used for personal use except in a manner that is incidental, and reasonable in light of the employee's duties. university resources include, but are not limited to, the use of university systems (e.g., telephone systems, data communication and networking services) and use of university equipment (e.g., computers and peripherals, university vehicles); the use of procurement tools such as purchasing cards and petty cash; university's stationary and, the time and effort of staff, students and others at Amaltas University, Dewas.
Questions
- The supporting staff can raise any questions regarding the intent or applicability of this Code to the Principal/Director/HOD of the institution. Principal/Director/HOD's decision regarding code of conduct will be considered as final and no arguments will be entertained in this regard.
